OUTPATIENT DIAGNOSTIC AND ANTENATAL ASSESSMENT SERVICES |

Purpose |
| To provide comprehensive outpatient services for the antenatal assessment of the high-risk pregnancy.Services available: Diagnostic ultrasound for growth assessment and detection of congenital abnormalities, doppler studies, fetal blood sampling and fetal therapy, non-stress testing, contraction stress testing, fetal biophysical profile testing. Management of medical complications of pregnancy, including infectious disease of the female genital tract. Follow-Up Computer-generated reports will be sent to the referring physician after review of the antepartum testing by the perinatologist. In cases requiring acute intervention, the perinatologist will call the referring physician and discuss management. A written report of all other consultations will be promptly forwarded. |
| Insurance & Billing |
| Houston Perinatal Associates will handle all of your medical insurance claim filing including Medicare, Medicaid, private insurance, HMO's and PPO's. |

| Appointment scheduling and general information requests are handled during normal office hours: |
| M-F, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. If you are unable to keep your appointment, please notify our office immediately. |
| Emergencies |
| For after-hours care, please call our 24-hour answering service at 713-791-9700 and you will be directed to your HPA Physician or the HPA Physician on call. |
| Managed Care Plans |
| The physicians at Houston Perinatal Associates are participating providers on most Houston area HMO and PPO health plans. Contact member services on the back of your insurance card to verify our participation in your plan. |
| Prescriptions & Questions |
| Prescriptions and the authorization for refills are given during our normal office hours. Please contact our office at 713-791-9700, listen for the prompt for "nurse" and choose your respective physician's nurse and leave a message for what your needs are and she will return your call as soon as possible. |
| Patients are encouraged to call with any questions they have regarding medical problems. Our nursing staff is bilingual and trained to answer your questions. |
